Jimmy Apple is a 20+ year Paramedic and EMS veteran with decades working in 911 and critical care. Jimmy is also a recognized social media educator and influencer.
Jimmy currently works as a neonatal and pediatric critical care paramedic for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHoA) and maintains the EMS Avenger social media channels that focus on delivering education, motivational, and philosophical content to EMS and other healthcare providers. He also uses his platforms to advocate for a return to kindness, compassion, empathy, and a holistic foundation to our care as EMS providers.
Jimmy makes frequent appearances at conferences where he lectures on a wide range of topics, with a particular interest in evidence-based practice and resuscitation. He is a frequent guest on many EMS Podcasts and is sought after by many for his input and insight into EMS-related issues.
Jimmy has also contributed to planning and organizing EMS conferences, including contributions to the Metro Atlanta EMS Conference and FlightBridgeED’s FAST Symposium.
Jimmy’s particular interests are in evidence-based medicine and best practices, Out-of-Hospital Cardiac Arrest practices, provider health and wellness, and education and training.
