John Todaro is the Director and Principal Consultant with Eagle Emergency Education Consultants. His career spans forty-five (45) years, having held positions as a Field Paramedic, EMS Supervisor, EMS Field Training Officer, EMS Training Coordinator, Senior Coordinator of Medical Quality Assurance & Education, Director/Chief Operating Officer, Executive Director of a Regional EMS Council, Flight Nurse/Paramedic, ER and Trauma Nurse and EMT/Paramedic Instructor. He is a Nationally Certified EMS Educator (NCEE), Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) and Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist (CHSOS) He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration/ Healthcare Management from St Leo University, and Associate in Science Degrees in Paramedics and Nursing Pasco -Hernando Community College. John was named, 1995 Florida EMS Educator of the Year by the Florida Department of Health, and 2003 Continuing Education Instructor of the Year and the 2009 EMS Education Program Director of the year by the Florida Association of EMS Educators. In August of 2009 John was honored by the National Association of EMS Educators when he was awarded their prestigious “Legends That Walk Among Us “Award. John has been actively lecturing at regional and national EMS conferences for over thirty (30) years and is a Founding Member and Past President of the Florida Association of EMS Educators, a Charter Member and Past President of the National Association of EMS Educators, and a Charter Member of the National Association of EMT’s. He serves as a member of the EMS World Editorial Advisory Board.
